Lucuma is a fruit native to the Andean valleys of Peru, obtained from the Lucuma Tree. Lucuma is a straight and cylindrical tree that reaches up to fifteen meters high and whose production starts from the fourth or fifth year. The pulp of the fruit is yellow or orange, with a dry and very sweet texture. Lucuma Powder is obtained by dehydrating the pulp of the fruit and the subsequent grinding of the resulting dough. This gives a yellow or orange powder of medium to low intensity and a very pleasant aroma. Lucuma Powder is widely used in the pastry industry due to its highly appreciated flavor.
